This year was the third year the Discordian Division of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild gave the
Order of the Pineapple. The two winners had a distant connection; the first Discordian
pieces Reverend Loveshade wrote were for a possible collection considered by Steve
Jackson.

Steve Jackson is a rare honoree as e was not a member of the ECG nor is e a member
of the D & D of the ECG. But es company, Steve Jackson Games, published the
most-circulated version of Principia Discordia under Steve's direction. Steve was the
prime promoter for making the Apocrypha Discordia sequel (which was actually
compiled independently by Rev. DrJon Swabey), created the Illuminati card game,
encouraged the development of several Discordian/Illuminati projects, and spoke of the
Men in Black before they became the topic of a movie.

Reverend Loveshade, aka The Rev and Revy Love, was the founder of the Discordian
Division of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild. Es short story "Five Blind Men and an
Elephant" is perhaps the most reprinted Discordian piece of any of the neo-Discordians
(non-originals), and has appeared in several collections. E was the primary author and
editor of Ek-sen-trik-kuh Discordia: The Tales of Shamlicht which was noted by Alan
Moore, R. Crumb, S. John Ross, Sondra London, Adam Gorightly, Robert Anton Wilson
(who saw an early draft), Greg Hill, and several others. (R.L. prefers genderless
pronounces, thus "e" instead of "he," "es" instead of "his," etc.
