The third award was given in 1984
to a founding member who was a
major fundraiser for the group.
The third award was presented on Wednesday, 18 January 1984, or 18 Chaos 3150.
Like all the awards given by the original group, it is unknown exactly why.
The Ĕk-sĕn-trĭks Cluborguild were still an active club in 1984. It was either this year or the
previous that
The Unknown Homecoming King candidate ran for homecoming king with a
bag over his head.  This was supposedly to enable the rescue of
The Unknown
Homecoming Queen candidate. Saiko aka Psycho was an active participant in the group and
"A college club was allotted funds based on the number of students it served. For everyone
who presented a student I.D. at a club sponsored event, the sponsoring club got $2. (By
comparison, federal minimum wage for a worker at that time was $3.35 an hour). Sai'ko
Zeus and other members used this system and regularly showed cheaply rented
movies in whatever college room happened to be available. While the group couldn’t legally
charge admission, they could check student I.D.’s."
Saiko aka Psycho was a founding member of the Ĕk-sĕn-trĭks Cluborguild and one of its
most active members. Like many of the originals, he became active in the Society for
Creative Anachronism and was one of the first people in California to play GURPS,
created by later OP member
Steve Jackson. He continued his "punny" nature as an
SCA herald and managed to register the name "Yvon Bater" which sounds like a
pseudo-Norse pronunciation of "even better." (His name more formally was
Yvon Bater
of Darkwood). Some people wondered what Bater would be called if he were made a
