According to Queen Bitch, the award may have been given in 1995 and after, but e lost touch with the group, including Aladdin Sane and Uncle Arthur (later known as Wet Willie). | RONIN AWARDS given by Earth Chapter Five of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild |
| The original Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild was formed by founding President Zeus and founding Vice President Alien. It was officially recognized by Mt. Santa Juanita College* Student Government Association on Monday, 16 November, 1981. Its purpose as stated in its constitution was 'the participatorial study of comedic attitudes and eccentric tendencies.' Within a year, the club was recognized as Most Active New Club. Within that same year, both the founding president and founding vice president were brought up on formal charges (which were later dismissed). The first pineapple was given on 18 January 1982, which is Pat Pineapple Day and also Robert Anton Wilson's birthday. |
| Unknown to the founders of the original ECG until 2010, another chapter began handing out the Order of the Pineapple in 1991. This group was formed by President Aladdin Sane (Chapter One alumnus), President of Vice Uncle Arthur (aka Wet Willie) and Sexetary-Treasure Chest Queen Bitch--all named themselves after David Bowie songs. The club called the award the Triple Palindromic Pineapple Award, because they first gave it to three people (their founders) on 1 1 1991 (the month, day and year were all the same backwards; thus, a triple palindrome). In 1992 and after, they gave it out on 18 January, and called it the Patus Pineappleus Bromeliadic and the winners The Bromeliaddicts. |

| The Discordian Division of the Ek-sen-triks CluborGuild was founded in 1994 by Reverend Loveshade. With the permission of First Member of the Order Alien, the D & D of the ECG revived the award in 2007. The group expanded the original focus, which was on contributors directly connected with ECG, to include the D & D of the ECG and those people who had never been members of either group, but who had made significant contributions. Without knowledge of Chapter 5 or its revival of the award, the group named recipients part of the Order of the Pineapple, or sometimes DisOrder of the Pineapple. |

The doctor has been spinning the wax for decades, has a master's degree in folklore and ethnomusicology, and brought older comic musical artists such as Spike Jones, Benny Bell, Yogi Yorgesson, and Tom Lehrer to new generations. | R. Crumb (Robert Crumb). The creator of Mr. Natural, Fritz the Cat, Devil Girl, and Keep on Truckin'. One of the most prominent of the underground artists, his work is said to have laid the foundation for the underground going mainstream in such animated programs as Beavis and Butthead, The Simpsons, and South Park.
